Lockout/Tagout Tags
A word about lockable tags from the expert-
When I was first shown the lockable tag concept I was sold. But my commitment to getting this tag into every lockout/tagout (LO/TO) procedure in the United States increased 10 fold when I was shown the customizable feature. In my 17 years career as an electrical worker, I was an affected and authorized employee, using thousands of tags to perform LO/TO. Several features of the lockable tag impressed me.
The tag has the tie permanently bonded to the tag making lost zip-ties no longer a factor. The lockable tag also stands up to OSHA pull strength requirements.
Using a permanent marker you can write on the tag. Being stiff, the writer doesn’t need a back-up to hold the tag. When the tag is removed from service, clean it with denatured alcohol and then reuse tag.
Lockable tags are fully customizable and can manufactured in different colors and text to meet your requirements. (Companies should have their tag designed with their logo on the tag)
